D in D will livestream an episode from D360

As part of the Karsh Institute’s Democracy360 festival, Democracy in Danger will record a live show with guests Samhita Sunya, UVa associate professor of cinema, and legal expert Jennifer Weiss-Wolf, of New York University and Ms. magazine.

Join us Oct. 21 at the Light House Studio’s Vinegar Hill Theatre in downtown Charlottesville, Va. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.

Hosts Siva Vaidyanathan and Emily Burrill will chat gender politics and the media with two brilliant minds, spanning 50 years of Ms. magazine’s influence in America and reaching across the globe to look at the movie industry in India.

Democracy360 is a three-day festival from October 19 through 21 in Charlottesville, Va., held in partnership with The Atlantic. This biennial forum brings together journalists, policy makers, scholars, leaders and students to explore the biggest challenges facing democracy today.

Featured speakers at D360 include journalist Kara Swisher, former U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger and columnist Jamelle Bouie.
